At Marrones Gestión de Residuos, we work to minimize environmental impact. Of all the waste that enters our facilities, only a small percentage ends up in controlled storage, whereas a large proportion is recycled (paper/cardboard, plastics, expanded polystyrene, bigbags, etc.) or is turned into solid recovered fuel.

Solid recovered fuel or SRF is one of the main alternatives for reusing waste, as it is an energy option for industries making intensive use of non-renewable energy, and is obtained from non-hazardous waste.

Refuse has a high energy content due to the high percentage of paper, plastic and wood, and its transformation into an alternative fuel provides a series of environmental and economic advantages that make recovering its energy a more attractive option.
